JOE McElderry may have won The X Factor last night, but it was Danyl Johnson who was the frontrunner throughout the first half of the competition.
The crooner, who ended up coming fourth place in the show, topped the public vote in weeks one, four and five in new figures released by The X Factor last night.
But bisexual teacher Danyl - who whipped his shirt off during a performance at G-A-Y on Saturday - fell out of favour by week six.
The statistics also reveal that runner-up Olly Murs never once got the majority of the votes during the entire competition.
Stacey Solomon, who came in third place, was the viewers' favourite in weeks two and six.
But by the second half of the series champ Joe was already paving the way for victory.
He topped the public vote in weeks seven, eight and nine, as well as in both parts of the final last weekend.
The only other contestant to win the vote was Rachel Adedeji in the third live show - just a week before she got the boot.
The figures showed that if the judges had taken the decision to deadlock in week seven, Olly would have gone instead of Jedward.
The twins had 10.7 per cent of the vote, while Essex boy Olly had only 9.8 per cent.
Last night Joe was crowned this year's X Factor winner with 61.3 per cent of the vote compared to Olly's 38.7 per cent.
Meanwhile, viewing figures for the final took the show to an all-time high.
A peak of 19.1m tuned in to find out who would be victorious.
But the impressive audience didn't quite match up to the Britain's Got Talent final earlier this year.
A peak of 19.2m saw SuBo miss the top prize to dance group Diversity in May.
